Instructions for removing most stains (ink, lipstick, soiled collar and cuffs, etc.)
Always make sure the stain is completely gone before drying the item. A machine-dried stain will be more difficult to remove later. If the stain persists after a first washing, dip again into washing liquid or apply it directly to the stain, rub and wash again. To remove stains from white clothing or material, you may also use La Parisienne Bleach.
Recommendation: Pour the recommended quantity of La Parisienne Liquid Bleach in your wash water before adding your laundry, or dilute the recommended amount in an equal amount of water before pouring in the wash cycle. Avoid pouring it directly onto the laundry.
Fabric guide: La Parisienne is safe for cotton, canvas, orlon, rayon, nylon, terylene, dacron, acetate and colourfast fabrics. La Parisienne Liquid Bleach can also be used on most permanent-press fabrics. Do not use on wool, silk, leather or non-fast colours. When in doubt, check for colour fastness or fabric resistance by dabbing a few drops of diluted La Parisienne Liquid Bleach on a hidden part of item.
Stubborn stains: Soak the article for 10 minutes in a solution of 185 mL La Parisienne Liquid Bleach and 4 litres of cold water. Rinse well.
Hand laundering: Add 20 ml of La Parisienne Liquid Bleach to 4 litres of water.
Cotton diapers: Pre-soak for 10 minutes in a solution of 40 ml of La Parisienne Liquid Bleach and 4 litres of water. Rinse well to prevent rashes and baby skin irritation.
Fruits, fruit juice, wine, soft drinks: Immediately soak the stain in cold water then apply La Parisienne 2 directly to the stain and rub in. Machine wash in hot water with detergent and 125 mL of La Parisienne 2. Red wine stains are easier to remove if immediately dampened with carbonated mineral water.
Coffee, tea: Pour a few drops of La Parisienne 2 directly on the stain and rub in. Wash promptly with hot water.
Ink (ballpoint): Apply La Parisienne 2 directly to stain and rub in. Machine wash in hot water.
Lipstick and make-up: Rub the stain with undiluted La Parisienne 2 and wash in hot water.
Grass: Soak in a solution of La Parisienne 2 and hot water. Machine wash with detergent and 125 ml of La Parisienne 2 in hot water.
Blood (fresh stain), milk, eggs: Rinse the stain under cold, running water and soak in a solution of La Parisienne 2 and cold water. For a really tough stain, apply La Parisienne 2 directly to the spot and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Machine wash in cold water.
Caution: Do not allow La Parisienne 2 to dry on the fabric. Always follow the washing instructions on the garment care label. When in doubt, test on a hidden piece of the fabric.
Simply place a fabric softener sheet in enclosed spaces or anywhere that needs a bit of freshness. For example:
